AED (Defibrillator) Programs

One of FASTEX’s goals is to make AED defibrillator programs more accessible and user-friendly for businesses and organizations in Dallas, Ft. Worth, and North Texas. Why? Early defibrillation helps save lives.

When Sudden Cardiac Arrest strikes, the heart can experience a condition called ventricular fibrillation (VF), or a chaotic rhythm in the main pumping chamber of the heart. Under this circumstance, the victim needs defibrillation from an AED: an electric shock to correct the heart’s rhythm.
The earlier a responder can administer defibrillation, the better. In fact, according to the American Heart Association, the odds of the victim’s survival decrease by 7-10% with every passing minute after sudden cardiac arrest occurs. For responders who have participated in an AED defibrillator program, the survival rates increases by 30% or more.

AED Programs in the Workplace
Along with our professional and interactive AED+CPR training, FASTEX works with you to strategically place automated external defibrillators in locations where trained responders can use them to quickly treat victims of sudden cardiac arrest.

AEDs in Churches, Fitness Centers and Schools
People of any gender, age or fitness levels, can suffer sudden cardiac arrest, and it’s usually without warning. Many of these lives can be saved if others nearby act quickly to phone 911, begin CPR, and provide defibrillation within minutes. If you are interested in learning more about AEDs and current Texas legislation, FASTEX is glad to provide a free consultation.

FASTEX uses and recommends ZOLL Brand AED Plus Defibrillators. More than a defibrillator, ZOLL’s AED Plus has a full resuscitation device which not only delivers a shock to the victim when necessary during use, but also gives visual and voice prompts of all of the steps to CPR. The automated external defibrillator (AED) is a portable device, about the size of a laptop computer. The intuitive equipment analyzes the heart’s rhythm and, if necessary, allows a rescuer to deliver an electric shock to a victim of sudden cardiac arrest. This shock, called defibrillation, may halt the rapid and chaotic heart activity of sudden cardiac arrest, and help the heart to reestablish an effective rhythm of its own.

The remarkable AED Plus defibrillator is streamlined and simple for anyone in your workplace to operate. Call us for a demonstration, and we’ll look forward to sharing our excitement for AED defibrillator programs across North Texas.
